Chris Quinn named editor and president of Advance Ohio

Chris Quinn has been named Editor and President of Advance Ohio, replacing Timothy P. Knight who has left the company, according to Randy Siegel, President of Advance Local, which oversees Advance Ohio along with its nine other local operations. “Chris has been a terrific leader for the Advance Ohio newsroom,” said Siegel. “His commitment to quality journalism and to the Greater Cleveland community are exceptional. Thanks to his talented team, cleveland.com is the digital news leader in Ohio and now reaches 6 million people a month.”

As Vice President of Content for Advance Ohio since 2013, Quinn has led the journalistic priorities and digital news strategy for the company. Before taking that post, Quinn worked at the Plain Dealer for more than 17 years, where he oversaw ground-breaking coverage of the Cuyahoga County corruption crisis, the Anthony Sowell serial killing, the Chardon school shootings and dozens of distinguished enterprise stories and special  investigations.
